This job opportunity offers you the chance for career growth, working full-time with 40+ hours per week.

The Pharmacy Technician position is not your typical retail role but a closed-door pharmacy tech role. You'll be responsible for filling prescriptions that will benefit patients in a rehab center.

If you perform exceptionally and attend work regularly, this contract assignment has the potential to become a permanent position based on business needs.

Upon completion of 90 days of employment, full-time employees will gain access to benefits including health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance. Additionally, there is a 401(k) plan with a company match available for employees who have completed one year of service.


Position Details and Compensation:
Location: Vinton, VA (On-Site)
Payrate: $20/hr
Required Availability: Mon-Fri | Every other weekend
Rotating Shifts: 8a-4p, 11:30a-9p, 1:30p-11p

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under pharmacist supervision and in compliance with state pharmacy regulations.
  • Perform additional pharmacy technician duties apart from filling prescriptions, such as Control Room tasks, inventory control, and data entry.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient packaging and labeling of prescription items.
  • Contribute to pharmacy inventory management and maintenance.
  • Prepare various medications including non-sterile compounds.
  • Provide professional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in employee training initiatives.

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma verification required.
  • Mandatory attendance during the initial 90 days.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician license in VA.
  • National Certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a long-term care setting.
