Role Overview:
Applies electrical design knowledge, skill and ability to create construction drawings for the project owner and provides continuous professional support throughout the entire construction process
Key Responsibilities:
Produces construction electrical documents appropriate for permitting based on project specificsAccurately and timely produces electrical design elements consistent with project specificationsAccurately and timely produces design elements in accordance with the project hours, scope & parametersProduces accurate and complete load calculations within project parametersProvides research design options consistent with project requirementsSelects appropriate equipment for project typeActively participates in post design activities through to construction completionAssists in the preparation of other documents germane to a project with enthusiasm and professionalismFollows established work rules, policies and proceduresActively engages with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies and reduce costsCooperatively takes on other duties, roles or responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:4-year degree in Engineering requiredMinimum of 3 years' experienceDemonstrable understanding of construction process and interpretation of construction drawings.
Knowledge of electrical engineering standards and other tradesKnowledge of engineering drafting standardsKnowledge of building codes and standardsKnowledge and utilization of company & design standardsBasic knowledge of software tools; i.e.
SKM, lighting calcs, etc.Knowledge of AutoCadKnowledge of RevitGood communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:
EIT preferredTravel Requirements:
Travel is anticipated between 0-10%
Estimated Starting Salary Range:
$70,000.00 to $95,000.00
