Job Overview:


AutiSTEM is a summer camp program set to launch in a couple of weeks at LA Speech & Language Therapy Center in Culver City, CA.

The goal of AutiSTEM is to introduce science, technology, engineering, and math to kids with an autism diagnosis between the ages of 10 and 18.

We are seeking enthusiastic teacher assistants who have experience in STEM fields (robotics, game design, Minecraft, AI, astronomy, coding, etc.) and experience working with children to join our team this summer


This is a part-time, seasonal position with a salary range of $20 - $25, depending on level of experience and expertise.

The duration is from June 1- July 26, 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide input and assist AutiSTEM Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily goals and activities of the children.
  • Assist with classroom and outside play activity supervision of children at all times.
  • Provide input and assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials, supplies, and snacks.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of children's records and information.

Requirements:

  • Completed or in progress Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in STEM fields, either professionally or as a hobby.
  • Experience working with children, preferably working with children on the spectrum.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Job Types:
Part-time, Temporary

Pay:
$ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours:
No less than 30 per week
