Position and Department Overview

Full Time; 40 hours per week Night Shift 37 bed unit to include a dedicated 5-bed Behavioral Health Safe Suite located within the department. More than 53K visits per year (approximately 150 patients/day)

This position shares, with the manager, the 24/7 responsibility for the daily operations including:

Supervising patient care services staff to ensure patient safety. Providing high quality outcomes and an exceptional patient/family experience. Developing and monitoring of the department budget. Coordinating the purchasing and payroll processes. Serving as a technical/clinical resource to team members Performing work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff. Assisting the manager with interviewing, hiring, developing, and retaining staff members with the goal of developing a highly reliable work team. May coordinate and/or assist with staff education, orientation and precepting of members of the team. Our Team of clinically expert and caring professionals includes board-certified surgeons and specialty-certified nurses. Together with support staff, we ensure the safety of the patient and the safety of our staff.

Job Summary
