Description

Mountain View Hospital is seeking an Admissions Clerk to join its dedicated team.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsibilities include accurately scheduling patient appointments, ensuring orderly clinic admissions, and maintaining patient information with precision. The ideal candidate must meet accuracy rate goals routinely.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Schedule patient appointments and obtain necessary information for visits.
  2. Handle admission forms and insurance details accurately.
  3. Communicate effectively with team members and patients.
  4. Ensure office procedures are followed and maintain patient confidentiality.
  5. Perform daily tasks for appointment scheduling and payment collection.
  6. Comply with payment card acceptance standards.
  7. Complete office reports and maintain records.
  8. Stay informed about office services and policies.
  9. Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism.
  10. Participate in educational programs and meetings.

Qualifications

Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent with BLS Certification.

Experience: Minimum three months of relevant experience preferred; Medical Terminology knowledge is beneficial.

Equipment/Technology: Proficiency in hospital information systems and basic computer operations required.

Language/Communication: Effective communication skills for interactions with patients, families, and healthcare providers.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Mental Capabilities: Sound decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.

Interpersonal: Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
