Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Registered Dietitian - Part Time.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
- Plans work assignments accordantly and utilizes time effectively.
- Provides assistance and contributes new ideas to the department.
- Functions as a resource person to Nutrition Students/Residents and medical team regarding the nutritional
- Participates in internship preceptorship.
- Provides inservice education. Actively participates in patient satisfaction initiatives, including unit rounding.
- Assesses patient's nutritional status/risk effectively and plans appropriate treatment accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Successful completion of the Registered Dietitian (RD) exam approved though the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR -the credentialing Agency for ADA) - must be obtained within the first six months of employment.
Effective oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Licenses:
Dietetics-Nutrition-NYS, Registered Dietitian
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree In a healthcare related field Preferred. Certification in a Nutrition specialty area (ie-CNSC, CDE) Preferred.
