Role: Linux/Unix Admin

Location: Akron, OH (Onsite from day 1)

Job Type: Fulltime/Contract

Job Description:

• Should have more experience on Legacy Unix/Linux 6.0, 6.5 server.
• Should have more knowledge about ITIL process [Change, Incident, RITM and Problem Requests]
• Strong L3 *NIX administrator with basic knowledge of VMware (cloning, add resources, shutdown/reboot/power-on servers).
• 24*5 queue monitoring and server operations support
• Physical/ Virtual Linux Server Builds.
• Linux Patching and Reboot - Patch a Red Hat server and schedule a reboot with the customer
• User limits/Mounting File systems/changing permissions
• Storage Requests - New allocations to new or existing server to expand the amount of space.
• Storage support (File system Space - Increase, reduce, recreate file systems)
• AIX OS Life cycle Non-Prod/Prod/DR environment
• Storage/Luns/Disk migration
• Software installation
• Server decommission/Retire
• Working knowledge critical apps like on PLM, Dagoba and Visibility
• Co-ordination with app and dba on resolving issues
• Linux patching Non-Prod/Prod/DR environment
• Server Reboot Non-Prod/Prod/DR environment
• Hardware issue Non-Prod/Prod/DR environment
• Performance monitoring issue
