Location: This opportunity is based at one of our Texas locations: Crosby, TX, or Alvin, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Commission CSI Energy Storage's Solbank Storage Power Block
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of SPB's adhering to warranty requirements
  • Manage BESS equipment under LTSA, including Energy Storage Cabinets (ESC's), Power Conversion Stations (PCS), Ring Main Units (RMU's) / Switchgear, Transformers, SCADA, and networking devices
  • Offer onsite diagnostic, troubleshooting, and hands-on support to ensure equipment maintenance and meet availability and capacity commitments
  • Supervise sub-contractors when necessary
  • Participate in the development of standard operating procedures and processes
  • Complete work order documentation promptly
  • Maintain accurate spare parts inventory
  • Follow proper LOTO and switching procedures as necessary
  • Provide support for client training during commissioning
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and policies
  • Undertake any other duties and projects as delegated

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified as an Electrical Technician
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a service setting related to renewable energy
  • OSHA 30 Certified (Osha 10 accepted if Osha 30 obtained soon after hiring)
  • Prior training and understanding of inverters
  • Experience with SCADA systems is advantageous
  • Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems, and Energy Storage system applications is beneficial
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in using MS Office Applications (Word, Excel)
  • Previous exposure to a CMMS software program is preferred
  • Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Certified in First Aid
  • Willingness to travel to regional locations as needed (over 50% of the time)
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor and conduct
