Volt is immediately hiring a Machinist to work onsite for a local leading organization in Mossville, IL 61552.

As a Machinist, you will:
Primary Responsibilities

  • This position requires several years' experience in a shop floor environment performing saw cutting, grinding, polishing and other machinist work.
  • The machinist will work on a team that provides machining support to a metallurgical testing laboratory.
  • The machinist is required to follow written instructions and be able to read blueprints.
  • The machinist must pay attention to detail and be quality oriented.
  • Equipment used to perform machinist job functions include: abrasive cut-off saws, surface grinders, lathes, reciprocating mill, and large band saws.
  • The machinist must be capable of communicating with all levels of employees found in a professional lab environment, including supervisors and company engineers.
  • The machinist must be team oriented, self-motivated and be flexible to working weekends and overtime when needed.
This is a Full Time, Contract opportunity.

Shift:

  • This position will work in the 2nd Shift, Mon to Fri. No relocation assistance is available, candidates out of state must be able to relocate at their own expense.

Pay Rate:
$21 to $25 per hour.*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
