  • Agrees to uphold the organization's Statement of Faith.
  • Initiates and maintains extensive contacts with corporate, civic and church volunteer groups; participates in volunteer fairs, community meetings, etc. to build awareness in community on the goals, purpose and needs of Attack Poverty; build public support for our cause and recruit volunteers.
  • Works on programs of limited complexity and scope.
  • Coordinate recruitment, orientation, training and placement of volunteers in conjunction with Location Director.
  • Assists in fundraising.
  • Coordinates with Location staff to steward the approved program and volunteer budgets.
  • Manages and maintains organizationally shared files including organizational databases, volunteer schedules and other files as assigned.
  • Attends all staff meetings, all Location team meetings and additional continuing education opportunities for staff growth.
  • Ability to become proficient with organizational database for volunteer and program management.
  • Provides office support as needed and other duties as assigned.
  • Manage and schedule volunteers for ongoing tasks as well as for staffing, organizing and promoting events.
  • Responsible for tracking volunteer hours and managing award programs in support of recognizing those volunteers with certificates or other mementos
  • Conduct periodic evaluation of volunteers
  • In collaboration with other departmental programs, plan and organize events, including site selection, logístical arrangements, purchasing supplies, promoting events, scheduling and being the primary point of contact for the event
  • Collaborate and engage volunteers with Fundraising Teams
  • Engage volunteers with community outreach activities
  • To recruit and coordinate donor gifts for program participants and plan agencywide volunteer recognition events
  • To create and standardize volunteer records and tracking methods; to include managing the volunteer database
  • To work in a cooperative and professional manner with staff, Board members, and donors
  • Assist with department tasks as needed
  • Must work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings

Pay:
$ $24.00 per hour
