Job Title: Child Adolescent Psychiatrist at Sportsman's Paradise-Covington, LA

We are currently looking for a child adolescent psychiatrist to join our team at our recently expanded and modernized hospital in Covington, Louisiana. Covington Behavioral Health is a licensed 104-bed facility that focuses on delivering personalized and compassionate care to adult individuals facing challenges with their mental and emotional well-being. Our services include inpatient care, detox, and intensive outpatient programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
  • Practice within established medical protocols and guidelines.
  • Review medical information to ensure patient stability and provide necessary recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Administer psychotherapeutic treatments and medications.
  • Document and maintain individual care plans accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • Preferably, over one year of post-graduate practice.
  • Must be licensed in the state of operation.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification in psychiatry.
  • Current DEA credentials for prescribing controlled substances in compliance with state regulations.
