We are looking for a **Senior Information Systems Security Officer (SR. ISSO)** to assist the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) with operations and management in support of risk management framework (RMF).

This role requires excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. An ideal candidate should be proactive in developing the ISSO team to help achieve ManTech's missions with minimal supervision. They should possess strong time management, decision-making, problem-solving, and solution-oriented skills. Additionally, professionalism, effective communication, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Travel within Maryland & Virginia may be necessary, with occasional trips outside this region.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the information security team as a senior ISSO. Implement security controls to ensure systems meet security accreditation standards.
  • Enforce information system security directives, policies, standards, and controls. Ensure compliance with security requirements to protect Government Information Systems.
  • Support cybersecurity policy implementation and network solutions for customer-defined systems and software projects.
  • Aid in developing, maintaining, and enforcing security policies including SSPs, CPs, IRPs, CMPs, SOPs, and BOEs required for obtaining and maintaining Authorizations to Operate.
  • Manage customer assets using tools like Service NOW (SNOW) and oversee cyber tasks in government facilities.
  • Document security risks and findings, providing solutions to issues while maintaining operational compliance.
  • Assist in remediating audit findings and understand the operational impact of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Participate in government self-inspections, assessments, A&A, and other audits as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field. Alternatively, an associate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of ISSO experience.
  • Meet DoD certification requirements (IAT level I); (IAT level II preferred).
  • Experience in security controls, virus scanning, auditing tools, and secure data transfer between systems.
  • Proficiency in writing documentation and implementing security controls as per NIST, ICD, DAAPM, JSIG, OMB, and FIPS.
  • Ability to document policy and controls related to RMF is highly desirable.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active/current TS/SCI clearance required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be open to traveling up to 10%.
  • Regular communication with colleagues, management, and clients, including delivering presentations.
