The Red Hat Core Platforms Agile Systems Engineering team is growing and we are looking for an experienced Agile Practitioner to join our team in Brno, Czech Republic.

As an Agile Coach you will work closely with one of the brightest engineers in the open source community to create innovative technology for the next generation.

As part of our team, you'll focus on the OpenStack product.

In your role as Agile Practitioner, you will collaborate closely with members of product engineering as well as a vibrant team of agile practitioners with a mission to help our Core Platforms business in its agile transformation.

What will you do

Work with the team in its overall mission to help Core Platforms in its Agile Transformation.

Provide training and publish documentation that support these efforts.


Engage with other Core Platforms teams to identify and help them understand skills such as relative estimations and continuous improvement.

Focus on respectful adoption of agility through the identification and resolution of existing challenges.

Create an environment of co-delivery and shared responsibility across the Dev, QE, Docs and PM organizations within Openstack.

Facilitate continuous improvement practices for the ever-evolving team.

Help the team become self-sufficient in the use of agile practices.

Implement Jira workflows that require collaboration.

Improve channels of communication.

What will you bring

Outstanding interpersonal skills:
Including both oral and written communication, mentoring, coaching, collaboration, negotiation, and team building

Sufficient level of technical background:
To provide highly credible leadership with development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues

Demonstrated track record:
Of delivering software products to production, coaching teams & programs at varying maturity levels using Agile & Lean methods

Creative approach to problem solving:
Ability to focus on details while maintaining the big picture view

Agile project management skills:
Evidenced by industry experience or recent certification (For example, CSP, PMI-ACP or new PMI-PMP)

Data driven analysis skills:
For measuring health of strategy-to-delivery

Experience with:
Jira or Open Source agile lifecycle management tooling

The following are considered a plus:

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMP, or Prince2 (or equivalent)

Knowledge of the Red Hat products and application container technology

Understanding and appreciation of Open Source software development
