The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is in search of a skilled and highly motivated individual to join as a Human Services Worker 2 (Case Aide). DDD offers flexible, high-quality services and support to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. These services aim to provide opportunities for independent decision-making and community engagement.

Applicants for this position should not be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation, should not have a principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and should not be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor.

Job Duties:

  • Serves as the go-to person in a unit and/or office.
  • Answers office telephones and covers for Support Coordinators who are unavailable.
  • Takes accurate messages and routes them to the appropriate staff.
  • Responds to inquiries from families and providers.
  • Assists members/families with various tasks such as transportation, picking up medications, completing forms, etc.
  • Maintains office supplies and equipment.
  • Drives to conduct visits and prepares progress notes.
  • Prepares member documents for approval.
  • Inputs member information into databases.
  • Tracks eligibility decisions and monitors client trust funds.

Selective Preference(s):

  • At least 1 year of customer service or community involvement experience.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license for positions involving driving.
  • Background and reference checks.
