We are seeking an Accessibility Expert to join our team and ensure our digital content and marketing materials are accessible to everyone, including individuals with disabilities.


Job Summary:

The Accessibility Expert will play a critical role in our agency by ensuring that all digital content, marketing materials, and campaigns meet accessibility standards and guidelines.


This individual will work closely with creative, development, and client-facing teams to integrate accessibility into the design and development process.


Key Responsibilities:

Accessibility Audits:
Conduct comprehensive accessibility audits of websites, mobile apps, digital marketing materials, and other digital assets to identify issues and areas for improvement

Guideline Compliance:
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.1, Section 508, and ADA.

Stay updated on the latest accessibility laws and guidelines

Training & Development:
Provide training and support to staff on accessibility best practices. Develop resources and guidelines to promote accessibility awareness within the organization.

User Testing:
Coordinate and conduct user testing with individuals with disabilities to gather feedback and insights on accessibility improvements

Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with designers, developers, content creators, and project managers to integrate accessibility into all stages of the project lifecycle

Consultation:
Serve as an internal consultant for accessibility-related questions and provide guidance on creating accessible content and designs.

Documentation:
Maintain detailed documentation of accessibility audits, recommendations, and improvements. Develop and update accessibility checklists and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:
At least 3-5 years of experience in accessibility testing and remediation. Experience in a marketing or advertising agency is a plus.

Certifications:
Certifications such as Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) are highly desirable

Technical Skills:
Proficiency with accessibility testing tools such as WAVE, AXE, JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA.

Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines, including WCAG, Section 508, and ADA. Knowledge of UX/UI principles and best practices.

Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
