About the Company:

Discover an exciting career opportunity with the Leidos Intelligence Group as a System Administrator in Columbia, MD. Leidos plays a key role as a subcontractor on a significant multi-year contract focusing on hardware and software sustainment of large IT systems. The team is engaged in critical dataflow changes, lifecycle management, system monitoring, and modernization of aging hardware and software components.

Job Summary:

As a System Administrator, your role encompasses supporting the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. You will manage IT system infrastructure and associated processes, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, monitoring, and effective problem resolution. Your responsibilities also include providing Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification and resolution, as well as offering support for system dispatch and hardware issues. Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, troubleshoot and maintain network components to enhance reliability and performance.

The ideal candidate should possess experience with Linux, Windows, Scripting (Shell, Perl, Bash, Python etc.), Puppet, NIFI, and Nessus. A poly within the last 5 years is a must.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ten years of relevant professional experience in system administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Hold an Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II baseline certification.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph within the last 5 years.
  • Experience in Linux, Windows, Scripting, Puppet, NIFI, STE/STN tools, LatteArt, and Nessus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Cyber mission domain.
