Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or post graduate degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Must have current Texas Licensure in Occupational Therapy
  • Must have a desire to work within a team serving children.. birth to age 3 in Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) program
  • Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable
Job Purpose:
  • To provide comprehensive direct occupational therapy, consultative services and service coordiantion for the eligible children of the Early Childhood Intervention program
  • Coaching and supporting families is an integral part of the ECI program
Job Function:
  • Provide assessments/evaluations for children referred for services due to delayed and/or atypical motor responses/behaviors which impact feeding, fine motor and physical development
  • Will participate in the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) meeting for eligible children for the purpose of sharing assessment/evaluation and addisiting with the development of IFSP
  • Coordinates services for children and their families
  • Travel in catchment area to deliver services
  • Follows infection policy and universal precautions at all times with child and family
