Job Description

The Creative Director at Western Digital's Flash Division is a pivotal role designed for a dynamic and versatile leader. This individual will be at the forefront of driving creative production for new product launches, comprehensive product marketing campaigns, and business development initiatives. The Creative Director will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and innovative culture, mentoring creatives, conducting daily creative reviews, and aligning our vision with tangible outputs. This role demands a proactive approach to instilling operational processes and participating actively in creative ideation and production to meet the division's ambitious goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee the creative process from concept to execution for new product launches and campaigns, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and market positioning.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of creative professionals, fostering an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and open communication.
  • Participate in creative ideation and production, demonstrating a hands-on approach to problem-solving and creativity.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, industrial design, and sales, to ensure a cohesive and impactful approach to asset development and brand strategy.
  • Implement and refine operational processes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the creative team's output.
  • Manage day-to-day creative reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring projects adhere to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Work with project managers to effectively allocate and manage creative resources, budget, and external partnerships.
  • Utilize data and analytics to guide creative decisions, optimize project outcomes, and track performance against key metrics.
  • Ensure all creative outputs are in compliance with brand standards and legal requirements

Qualifications

  • Strong project management capabilities, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of design principles, creative processes, and current industry trends.
SKILLS:
  • Excellent problem-solving, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Adaptability and flexibility, with a readiness to tackle challenges head-on and wear multiple hats within the creative process.

  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
  • You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
