As part of the Global Business Operations team, we provide the transactional, financial and analytical support for Apptio's Post Sales organization.? We are a business partner to the regions and define, own and execute the business processes at a global level.

We provide the reporting, system tooling and governance which enables the Services team to manage the financial aspects of our services, while delivering operational excellence.

One of our guiding principles is continual process and tool improvement, scalability to reduce administrative overhead for the teams we support and enable them to spend more time supporting Apptio customers.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Build a Rhythm of the Business (RoB) for all operational functions to drive repeatable, scalable activity aligned to strategic objectives
  • Establishes new partner operations function and builds processes and KPIs from the group up
  • Builds on best practices established in Customer Success, Professional Services and Partner functions
  • Drive "is" process definition and standardization working closely with CoE team members to ensure global view. Identifies and implements areas for improvement
  • Ensures regional ops managers execute daily, weekly, monthly tasks according to established RoB
  • Acts as Global Ops stakeholder and provides requirements into Agile process groups responsible for implementing refinements
  • Receives and vets incoming requests from cross function leaders including the regional Customer Success/Professional Services/Partner leadership
  • Works closely with finance and analytics teams on reporting including recurring cadence aligned to RoB for PS utilization, project profitability, capacity planning, forecasting, etc.
  • Owns integration activities with operational leadership peers within IBM
  • Manages team of direct reports including operations analysts, operations managers, system admins
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
7+ years of experience in Global Operations, Project Management, or Program Management
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Strong project management skills; PMP, MPM, PPM, or related certification a plus
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives with focus and transparency, holding people accountable, empowering teams, building bridges and promoting team and business success
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, interpersonal) along with ability to collaborate internally or cross group while at the same time building credible relationships
  • Ability to define internal requirements and align resources to meet those requirements
  • Fast learner - Must be able to learn new ideas, concepts, and skills quickly
  • Strong passion for both client satisfaction and achieving business objectives and the ability to balance the two
