Civil Defense Attorney

Join a prominent and well-respected law firm based in Irvine, CA, that specializes in civil defense litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil defense litigation, excellent research and analytical skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively. This position offers an opportunity to work on complex legal issues and represent a variety of clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of civil defense litigation from case inception through trial and appeal.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other court documents.
  • Represent clients in court, mediation, arbitration, and other legal proceedings.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and negotiate settlements.
  • Develop case strategies and provide legal counsel to clients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case files and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • 2+ of experience in civil defense litigation.
  • Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and substantive law.
