North Carolina Office of Recovery & Resiliency is fully funded on grants and positions will be maintained as long as funding is available.

The position is EHRA, which means it is exempt from the rules and regulations of the NC Office of Human Resources Act (GS126), except for Articles 6 and 7 of that Chapter, due to state statutory and/or funding requirements.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.

This position qualifies for teleworking as part of the State's Teleworking Pilot Program.

Any telework will be under the conditions of the State Teleworking Program Policy, and the employer may end the teleworking arrangement at anytime.


The Construction Coordinator position assists in overseeing the NCORR construction programs including rehabilitation, reconstruction, demolition, elevation, manufactured housing units (MHU), and modular homes.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing construction projects from start to finish by coordinating with the general contractors, external stakeholders, and program staff.

They will also provide all necessary updates to the constituent affairs teams in the construction phase; maintain, manage, and organize the applicant construction projects.

The Construction Coordinator will assign and monitor resources effectively to boost project efficiency and maximize deliverables output and coordinate with all construction team members to keep workflow on track.

The chosen candidate will report project risks and outcomes to appropriate Project Manager(s) and escalate issues according to standard operation procedures.

They will prepare and review project memos, meeting minutes, and emails.

The selected candidate will provide necessary updates to applicants in construction phases and conduct follow up correspondences with homeowners to respond to construction inquiries and complaints.

The selected candidate will schedule program signing events, preconstruction walk-throughs, and warranty inspections with applicants. This position reports directly to one of the Project Leads.

  • Experience in a customer-facing role that requires close coordination with other parts of an internal team.

Bachelor's degree from appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
