JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

  • Full Time AvailabilitySummary of the Job:Responsible and accountable for direct patient care during diagnostic and interventional procedures for adult and geriatric patients in Cardiovascular Services. The role involves serving as a scrub assistant or monitor tech, collaborating with diverse teams to ensure superior cardiovascular care. Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiac, electrophysiology, peripheral vascular, and interventional radiology. In addition, Cardiovascular Lab Technologists will participate in on-call rotations, maintaining a 30-minute response time for 24/7 cath lab availability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Six months of cath lab experience or 1 year of invasive radiology experience; in certain cases, candidates with 2 years of radiology tech experience may be considered
  • Louisiana State Radiology Licensure or CCI-RCIS
  • Current BLS certification through recognized courses such as Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross, including a manikin check off
  • Flexible working hours
  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties with a 30-minute response time
  • Basic knowledge of budgetary controls.

Physical Demands:
Must be in good physical condition, capable of tasks like standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, and lifting at least 50 pounds. Should be comfortable working in moderately noisy environments.

Physical Effort required:
Constant (67%-100%) - hearing, seeing

Frequently (34%-66%) - lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, balancing, reaching, handling/feeling, talking

Occasionally (1%-33%) - climbing (stairs, ladders, etc.), stooping, crouching, crawling
