Graco in Sioux Falls, SD is undergoing a period of growth. We've recently expanded our facility by 98,000 square feet, with more CNC machines on the horizon. Our shop is pristine, well-lit, and climate-controlled, with all necessary tools provided.

Machinists at Graco:

  • Operate both high production runs and low volume runs, based on the department and product line
  • Use CAM systems for programming

Shift:

4 pm - 4 am, Wednesday - Friday (nights)

*Work 36 hours - get paid for 40 hours. Work 3 days a week. Enjoy more free time with your loved ones and engage in activities you're passionate about.

Pay Range: $35.60/hr (starting pay dependent on experience)

Shift differential: $1.00/hr for night or weekend shifts

Benefits: Effective the 1st of the month post-hiring, encompassing 88 hours of holiday pay, vacation time, 401(k) match, healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, disability pay, tuition assistance, and more.

Machine types at Graco: Citizen Swiss lathes, Mazak, Index 5-axis, Hydromat, Mori Seiki, Robodrills

CNC Machinists are responsible for operating CNC mills or lathes safely to produce parts meeting Graco's quality standards at the most cost-effective price and within specified timelines.

Job Duties:

  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot various CNC machines
  • Adjust and replace tools as necessary
  • Create and modify CNC programs
  • Conduct daily machine maintenance
  • Interpret layouts and blueprints for intricate parts, including Geometric Tolerancing
  • Provide accurate inventory counts
  • Utilize comparator, CMM, Trimos, gauges, and related instruments
  • Perform additional operations such as deburring when required
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively within the machine group shifts
  • Maintain a safe and tidy workspace

Requirements:

  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • Completion of a 2-year precision machining program; OR a minimum of 4 years of prior CNC machining experience
  • Ability to comprehend CNC programs and blueprints
  • Aptitude to work independently, sustaining quality and quantity benchmarks under minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations
  • Preferred experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
