We are currently in search of skilled CNC Machinists to bolster our Valencia, CA team. Both 1st and 2nd shift schedules are on offer. This role is ideal for proficient lathe, mill, or mill/turn machinists looking to join and advance within the PPG structure. Candidates for the CNC Machinist position should possess 5 or more years of experience in the Aerospace sector. Adaptability is a crucial trait due to the ever-evolving nature of this role.

Requirements:
- Set-up and operate CNC machinery including lathe, mill, and/or mill-turn (Okuma, Mori Seiki, Doosan, and Hermle systems) (Fanuc and Heidenhain controllers)
- Edit programs and adjust machine settings as needed
- Perform routine maintenance tasks daily to ensure machine reliability
- Offer reliable input on machining methods based on part specifics, materials, etc.
- Adhere to instructions in line with client or company requirements
- Provide training to other team members when necessary
- Understanding of fixture and tool design concepts
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace
- Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in CNC precision machining
- Proficiency in calculating shop math equations
- Proficient computer skills
- Programming experience is beneficial but not mandatory
- Solid work history with consistent employment
- Previous experience in the Aerospace industry required
- Ability to utilize standard measuring gauges for in-process inspections
- Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal abilities
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, results-driven setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of GD&T with proficiency in reading and interpreting drawing requirements
- Thorough understanding of machining techniques, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, insert life
- Demonstrate aptitude working directly on machines
- Willingness to work collaboratively or with minimal supervision
- Openness to working overtime when necessary
- Positive, creative, team-oriented approach to tasks and projects
- Compensation for this position is commensurate with skills and experience

Compensation details:
35-45 Hourly Wage
