Teach students needing math help in groups or individually

  • Handle skillbased tutoring in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus, and statistics
  • Develop resources to tutor students and build Math Skills
  • Evaluate students, measure skill progression, and determine improvement areas
  • Coordinate with tutors and Learning Resource Center staff to offer engaging activities or workshops
  • Ensure high attendance through campus announcements and flyers
  • Support students to develop and meet academic goals
  • Help students prepare for tests
  • Record and report student "attendance"
  • Attend scheduled staff training and meetings
  • Ensure cleanliness of labs
  • Provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students

Minimum Qualifications:

Current Major in
Biology, Biotechnology, Mathematics

OR

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF 15-30 UNITS IN MATH:

  • No Degree Required
  • Any Job Target
  • Subjectmatter competency; MUST have good/excellent grades in Math courses (Trigonometry, Calculus and Statistics)
  • Minimum 3.00 GPA

Must be enrolled full-time at a 4-year university_

Job Type:

Pay:
$18.80 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
