The Registered Clinical Dietitian provides nutritional care to patients in accordance with the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the medical center and department.

The Dietitians deliver comprehensive nutritional care to patients beginning with nutritional screening, assessment of patients, development of plan of nutritional care, implementation of plan of care, evaluation of care, and follow-up.

Coordinates, plans and conducts programs to educate patients about nutrition. Administers medical nutrition therapy and may oversee and provide advice to food service operations. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. Bachelor's degree and registered dietitian with at least 1 year of experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Commission on Dietetics Registration - Registered Dietitian or Registry Eligible required
Licensed by the State of Alabama as a Dietitian/Nutritionist required Serv-Safe Certified preferred
