Custodian - General Maintenance

This is a permanent full-time position, for a custodial and building maintenance position, for KEC (Kishwaukee Education Consortium), located in Malta IL.
The position's duties, are:
Creating and keeping a cleaning routine, for all parts of the building.
Maintaining the lighter mechanical parts of the building.
Ordering cleaning and building supplies.
Making service calls when needed for electrical, plumbing and HVAC repairs.
Maintenance of the immediate landscaping around the building (Kish College maintains the grass areas and provides snow removal).
Tracking and scheduling routine inspections and service for fire extinguisher systems and sensors, fire alarm, emergency lighting, and exhaust hood.
Organizing a summer project list, which would include refinishing main hallway surfaces, classroom carpets steam cleaned, painting as needed, and other special projects as needed.
The starting salary is $38,000 to $42,000, depending on prior experience, and insurance benefits are available. The work day for this position is 6:00 am, to 3:00 pm with a lunch break during the day. The position follows the school calendar, during the school year, with all school holidays off.
For the summer months, the hours are 6:00 am to 12:00 pm, Monday through Thursday (times to be coordinated with the building principal), as KEC is closed on Fridays.
Two weeks vacation and 3 personal days are associated with this position as well.Position Available:
