We are seeking a candidate who is skilled in apparel product development, including pattern making, tech packs, specs, and manufacturing. This role will help prepare products for production and assist with gathering the needed order details, tech packs, patterns, markers, fabrics, and trims to ensure production goes smoothly.

Job Responsibilities

· Manage integration of all products according to product lifecycle.

· Monitor status and operations of products and evaluate designs to ensure adherence to all design and manufacture principles.

· Work with design and manufacturing to assist in the transition of design prototypes into cost efficient and high-volume products.

· Analyze and recommend corrective action in case of any design failure.

· Create and/or edit Tech Packs in PLM system that includes:

o Create & edit sketches on Illustrator:

o Build or edit BOMs.

o Proofread Construction Details and make corrections.

o Proofread Points of Measurements and make corrections.

o Take photos of garment details for Tech Pack.

o Be resourceful in finding missing information to put together all the above parts.

· Review garment samples & TOPs against tech packs.

· Ability to make patterns and/or markers for sampling and manufacturing.

o Sample Marking responsibilities:

o Creating models and sample paperwork

o Creating or revising fabric properties in the fabric library

o Marking samples

o Figuring fabric usage

o Filing sample paperwork

o Maintaining the style library

o Reporting all work processed for the department

o Additional Marking responsibilities:

o First check and order set-up

o Double checking the models

o Checking for special sizes

o Creating orders and markers

o Marking and sending out all tests for orders

o Determining fabric yield

o Double checking sizes and quantities in the order

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

· The ability to communicate in an open and honest way that quickly builds trust and respect.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PLM, and AS400 with an aptitude for learning new programs.

· Knowledge of product development process a plus.

· Excellent analytical, verbal, and written skills with strong attention to detail.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle critical deadlines/prioritize work and business processes and able to multi-task regularly.

· Must have affinity for problem solving, exposure or experience in Manufacturing, Quality Excellence, Strategic thinking, listen to our internal customers, and perform in the most professional manner.

· The ideal candidate should be flexible during times of change, comprehend business operation and provide quality insight as to how achieve goals and ensure business success. Participate in continuous improvement projects and lean principles, ideally within apparel manufacturing.

· Critical thinking skills and resourcefulness to resolve complex issues with a "make it happen" attitude.

· Ability to follow oral and written instructions, and to request clarification when needed.

· Bilingual is a PLUS. (English/Spanish).

Supervisory Responsibility: N/A

Physical Demands and/or Work Environment

This is a 70% sedentary role and 30% active; It is necessary for this role to walk in all the departments to follow up on completion of assignments and check on all samples. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Education, Certification and Experience

· College degree in Fashion, Patterns, Apparel Design, Product Development, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Engineering, or experience required.

· 3 years of related product development to include design, technical design, pattern making and manufacturing.

· Ability to sketch on Illustrator at a beginner skill level or better.

· Understanding of apparel product development lifecycle from design to production.

· Apparel manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

· Experience with Smartsheet software preferred.

· Experience communicating via virtual meetings with Microsoft Teams, Citrix Webex, Zoom, GoToMeeting.

· Experience with Outlook calendar scheduling a plus.

· Experience in PLM, OMS, SAP and AS400 a plus.

· Experience analyzing and running reports on data preferred.
