The Production Planning job family is responsible for planning, scheduling, and organizing the efficient maintenance, operation, and performance of work assignments. Coordinates with various departments to achieve optimum utilization of operations and maintenance resources to effectively achieve production improvements through usage of industry standard methodologies.


This position will lead the Work Control Center group in supporting planning, and activity coordination of preventive maintenance work so quality documentation is maintained for the Plant Operations Team. This position requires working closely with external groups such as Plant Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance organizations. This position relies heavily on attention to detail and good communication skills, both written and verbal. This position is a 4 on, 4 off, 12 hour shift, night shift position.

This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS

  • Lead the Work Control Center group in ensuring requirements are met in the Maintenance program procedures.
  • Administrative, organizational and computer skills, including proficiency in MSOffice programs (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Support planning managers by tracking progress of work packages both preventive and corrective.
  • Control planning files and documentation for all work packages.
  • Manage support software for routing work package approvals.
  • Set up assets in CMMS.
  • Assist in managing deferred PMs.
  • Ability to train others on how to administer preventive maintenance program.
  • Prepare required system reports for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
  • Provide support for assessments and Management by researching asset maintenance history, compiling that information, and present that information as necessary.
  • Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment
  • Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
  • Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.

  • This is a night shift position.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree business, engineering, construction management, economics, and 4 years experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Possess the ability to perform vital and detail control functions. Knowledge of a variety of operating activities such as purchasing, materials, scheduling, task hazard identification/controls, preventive and corrective maintenance.

Associates degree in business, engineering, construction management, economics and 5 years experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Possess the ability to perform vital and detail control functions. Knowledge of a variety of operating activities such as purchasing, materials, scheduling, task hazard identification/controls, preventive and corrective maintenance.

OR

High School Diploma/GED and 6 years experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Possess the ability to perform vital and detail control functions. Knowledge of a variety of operating activities such as purchasing, materials, scheduling, task hazard identification/controls, preventive and corrective maintenance.

Experience: Preventive maintenance experience required. Thorough knowledge of variety of operating activities such as purchasing, materials, scheduling, preventive and corrective maintenance. Work Control experience in the DOE / ISMS / VPP / Commercial Nuclear environment is preferred.

  • Must achieve qualification within 6 months of assignment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and selected candidate must be willing and able to work a rotating night shift schedule, 4 nights on / 4 nights off.

Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship

Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $99, $154, Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
