Job Title: Tester/Advisor at Baltimore City Community College

Location: Baltimore, MD

  • Responsible for daily testing and advising of students entering the Adult Basic Education program
  • Administering test instructions and ensuring exam integrity
  • Setting up test packages and monitoring students during testing
  • Recording exam results and inputting data into the College's database
  • Traveling to various locations to provide testing
  • Performing other duties as assigned


Responsibilities/Duties

Essential Job Functions:
Knows departmental goals, policies, procedures, and standards related to student testing and advising

Decision Making:
Exercises administrative judgment impacting quality of services

Communication:
Exchanges information effectively and requires good oral and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:
Sitting for extended periods, reaching, finger dexterity, normal vision and hearing capabilities

Required Qualifications

Education:
Associate degree required

Minimum Experience:
1 to 3 years of work experience in customer service, strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills

Certification:
Required to pass TABE & CASA certification exam within 30 days of employment

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education setting, knowledge of assessment tools, intermediate computer skills
