Located in Sacramento, this esteemed physical medicine and rehabilitation practice is strategically building on its long-standing reputation for excellence by seeking an experienced and dedicated EEG Technician to support the practice for continued patient volume and geographic coverage growth.

We are looking for an EEG Technician to be a professional representative to our patients, support the day-to-day functions of our practice, and be an integral support for our team.

Schedule
Non-Exempt, Full Time
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Required Travel
Travel
monthly (based on need) to satellite clinics to perform testing and offer clinician support. Locations include San Diego, Stockton, Fresno, Reno, and Palmdale. Time and travel will be compensated.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct neurodiagnostic tests primarily Electroencephalograms (EEG) testing and Occulometrics, VOMS, and VNG
- Follow protocol for patient wires including taking them on and off and proper cleaning and storage
- Prepare patients for testing procedures and communicate necessary instructions
- Ensure accurate documentation of test results
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive
- Operate, clean, and maintain EEG equipment and accessories
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vitals, and record health history
- Complete patient chart documentation
- Available for monthly travel to satellite offices to perform testing (as needed)
Additional Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient checkout and order MRIs or labs as needed
- Prepare and set up injections and dispense medications
- Assist clinicians with medical treatments, procedures, and exams as needed
- Send referrals
- Update patient demographics/information in the chart
- Additional clinical support
- Assist Front Office duties as needed
- Other clinical duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited neurophysiology technologist program or equivalent training experience
- Experience and knowledge in performing and documenting Electroencephalography (EEG) testing and results
- CPR Certified
- Knowledge of best practices regarding patient care and privacy
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve the clinic's objectives
- Communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a consistent, courteous, and friendly manner
- Willingness to learn medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
- Ability to work independently with selfinitiative and discipline
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Detailoriented and highly organized
- Must be available to travel an average of once per week
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of Oculometrics (OcM), Vestibular/Ocular Motor Screening (VOMS), Sleep Studies, and Videonystagmography (VNG) preferred but will train
- Ability to be proactive and prioritize workload, manage challenging situations, and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Google Office Suite
- Ability to problemsolve
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Compassionate people skills
- Bilingual (Spanish)
