Responsible for implementation, quality assurance and development of PGA TOUR Golf technology infrastructure.
Manages outside contract relationships, priorities for weekly development and implementation and works with full golf technology team to create priorities for long term golf technology development strategy, operations and implementation.
QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree or equivalent job experience preference in Computer Science and knowledge of Data Analytics as well as marketing.
7 years of technology-based experience required.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner Certification preferred
Ability to focus on the organizational objectives by remaining flexible in all stages of operational support.
Excellent communication, documentation, management and persuasion skills.
Must have detailed understanding of database architecture, data distribution and creative vision for improving methodologies in these areas.
Expected to be a thought leader that can inspire next generation of TOUR data collection and distribution.
Knowledge of Azure, SQL, SQL for JSON, XML, XSL style sheets and JSON.
Ability to articulate complex issues in person, virtually and strong writing skills required.
Must possess strong problem-solving, prioritization and detail oriented implementation skills.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Must demonstrate strong analytical thinking.
Knowledge of the game of golf, scoring, rules, PGA TOUR structure required.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Develop specific paths for development and implement those under direction of department team
Manage operational and implementation cadence, development platforms and structure.
Many of these resources will not be direct reports but must be managed.
Communicate and document vision and process.
Perform QA functions on a broad number of TOUR systems, processes & future applications
Manage vendor contracts and assist in budgeting functions as needed
Provide expertise in estimating and projecting timing and budget success
Special projects or other duties as assigned
