About the role

We are looking for an experienced technology and product development individual to lead our engineering teams.

The VP of Engineering will be responsible for execution of the product roadmap and providing leadership to the development team.

The VP of Engineering shall deliver projects that meet or exceed industry standards for design, safety and reliability.

This position will require in-depth technical product knowledge, industry knowledge and ability to connect customer needs with Atom Power's technical capabilities now and potential capabilities in the future.

What you will do

Lead product development
Work with product ownership to establish requirements and develop overall program plan in accordance with product roadmap

Drive a mindset that focuses on product quality, reliability, commitment to requirements and open communication and collaboration as part of the development process

Oversee technical system design and architecture for all Atom Power products

Establish a culture of technical excellence by being a voice for innovation, driving rigorous technical reviews, and being a consistent presence as a technology leader

Demonstrated ability to communicate project status with proper risk management and project commitment

Lead the team
Lead the Atom Power technical team with focus on individual and team success

Establish individual goals directly or with the assistance of project leaders, ensuring goals align with the overall project and company goals

Serve as a mentor and coach for project or team leaders

Contribute to the success of recruitment and retention activities

In coordination with cross-functional partners develop the go to market strategy for initial launch of Atom Power products

Be the voice of technology within the organization.

What you bring

15+ years leadership experience

Demonstrated ability to work across organization to establish and execute on product roadmap

Experience leading at the junction of software and hardware, with ability to serve as the bridge between

Strong organizational leadership skills

Hands on experience with product safety approval process

Degree in electrical, computer engineering, computer science or equivalent technology degree (minimum BS)

We"d love to see

Experience with wide bandgap semiconductor technologies, device trade-offs, reliability and power device packaging

Knowledge of NEC code and how it applies to power and protection systems

Experience with Intellectual Property development

Demonstrated history of bringing innovative products to market

Advanced degree (Master or PhD)
