Key Role in Information Technology

In the heart of AIG, technology plays a crucial role in all our operations, from assessing risks to handling claims. The Information Technology (IT) team equips our staff with cutting-edge tools to efficiently carry out their tasks with top-notch quality. By safeguarding the company's systems from security threats and creating technology strategies, the IT team drives innovation across the organization.


Impactful Responsibilities

As a Policy Admin Developer, you will be an essential player responsible for application development:

  • Work with architecture and design teams on high-level design reviews.
  • Develop Low-level design (LLD) deliverables.
  • Conduct development & unit testing activities.
  • Manage development dependencies.
  • Promote a culture of quality.
  • Identify root causes of issues, triage, and resolve defects.
  • Adhere to and enhance development best practices.
  • Assist in sprint and end-to-end testing phases.
  • Support in onboarding new team members.

The developer's responsibilities include analyzing, developing, and unit testing various areas of AIG's policy administration & underwriting platform full technology stack, incorporating:

  • Duck Creek.
  • User interface.
  • Integration.
  • Java / Spring business service development.
  • Transactional data stores.
  • Mulesoft.

Qualifications for Success

We seek an individual with a strong focus on quality who can fulfill software development tasks:

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with a team.
  • Effective communication skills with leads, functional, and technical team members.
  • Continuous improvement mindset for the applications they support.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3+ years of experience supporting end-to-end design, development, and delivery in the financial services industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
  • Hands-on insurance domain development & architecture experience.
  • Experience with Java full stack application development & architecture or Duck Creek implementation expertise with Policy, Insights, Party.
  • Full stack development experience with an emphasis on Java or Duck Creek applications.
  • Experience with Duck Creek Policy or equivalent solutions preferred.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing paradigms, prevalent industry design patterns, and agile development methodologies.
