Job Summary:

In this role, you will play a vital part in developing advanced software applications for our Satellite Ground Systems. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team will be key to delivering high-performance solutions. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and testing Java-based applications, ensuring software reliability, and contributing to project milestones under supervision.

Location:This position is available in State College, PA or Columbia, MD, offering an exciting opportunity to push the boundaries of what can be achieved.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced software applications for Satellite Ground Systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements.
  • Ensure software performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and system integration activities.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in Java and satellite technology.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • 5+ years of experience in Java software design and development in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with scripting languages, Agile/DevOps, and unit testing tools.
  • Active and transferable TS/SCI Full Scope Poly U.S. government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Ansible, Jenkins, containers, and the Spring Framework.
  • Security+ certification.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices in defense or aerospace.
  • Experience with satellite communication systems and protocols.
