Summary: The Digital Platform Architecture Infrastructure Design Engineering team at Mastercard is seeking a Lead Platform Architect to help solve challenges, plan system designs, and establish standards and best practices. This role involves analyzing and designing infrastructure frameworks to meet the needs of applications and platforms while aligning with Mastercard's operational standards and principles.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements, conduct infrastructural analysis, and produce robust designs adhering to approved technologies and security policies.
  • Collaborate with peers, engineers, and application teams to ensure high-level requirements are met.
  • Create technical architecture documents and models to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.
  • Implement, manage, and support application infrastructure components following best practices.
  • Resolve architectural and operational issues affecting product availability and performance.
  • Lead efforts to define new standards and evaluate new technologies for deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in web application architecture, Java Virtual Machine, load balancers, network principles, and middleware technologies.
  • Working knowledge of databases, cloud technologies, and non-functional requirements.
  • Strong understanding of access control mechanisms, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

  • Demonstrate leadership, attention to detail, and customer focus.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Adapt quickly to new technologies and work collaboratively with global teams.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and foster positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
