Responsibilities:
- Assesses and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
- Supports efforts to enhance cost effectiveness and care quality for patients.
- Receives patient referrals from other doctors and serves as an admitting, attending, or consulting physician for hospitalized patients with primary medical diagnoses.
- Engages in academic programs like medical education and research when required.
- Ensures proper documentation meeting insurance standards and handles denials promptly.
- Provides inpatient and outpatient consultations for specialties, including on call schedules.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed by the Indiana Medical Licensing Board before hire date required.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) qualification mandatory.
