Responsibilities- Instruction: Foster student-led discussions, facilitate debates, and enhance argumentation skills through primary and secondary source analysis.
- Data Analysis: Collaborate with school leadership to analyze student work and implement tailored instructional strategies.
- School Culture: Build positive relationships with students and families, engage in professional development, and contribute to a supportive school community.
- Passion for Uncommon Schools' mission and commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
- Demonstrated interest in urban education, preferably with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
- Academic expertise in Education, History, Geography, or related disciplines.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; eligibility for NY state certification.

Compensation for this positionThe starting salary for this role in Rochester ranges from $50,000 to $64,700, based on experience and qualifications. We value tenure and do not cap salary ranges for existing staff.
