Under the administrative supervision of the Clinical Director, the supervisor coordinates and supervises a service team that provides intensive in-home services to children and families who need more services and supports than can be received in traditional outpatient settings. This is a multi-disciplinary team consisting of child/adolescent psychiatrist, a Master's level Clinician, Skills Trainer, and Peer support provider. The goal of supervision with IIBHT is to facilitate a process that leads to a reduction of out-of-home placements for children at risk of hospitalization or residential or reduced treatment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Team supervision will include the coordination of child/family team plans of care that address (but not limited to) the following:

  • Prioritization of critical behavioral health needs that will be the focus of treatment planning and delivery
  • Identification of risk and safety concerns; potential crises, de-escalation, and coping strategies
  • Engage the youth and caregivers in initial and continued psychoeducation surrounding the youth's diagnosis and/or behavioral health needs, as well as applicable intervention strategies.
  • Working with youth and caregivers to identify and address risk and safety concerns at home, in school, and in the community.
  • Support youth and caregivers to develop coping skills (problem solving, communication, conflict management)
  • Periodic crisis rotation as needed.

Additionally, and depending upon the scope of IIBHT supervisory tasks/duties, it is likely that this position will also include the provision of therapeutic services (individual and group) to clients who are not involved with the IIBHT program. In this capacity the supervisor/clinician will bring the skills and knowledge of mental health and substance-related issues including evaluation, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field required.
  • LCSW, LPC, or LMFT
  • Pursue and maintain licensure and addictions certification as required by Tillamook Family Counseling Center
  • Clinical experience with a community behavioral health agency setting
  • Supervisory experience
  • Valid Driver's license

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bilingual – Spanish
  • Knowledge of IIBHT program

Working Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Position Requirements

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Days and hours of work are generally 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may require longer working hours if necessary.

Travel

Travel is primarily local, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. This position requires a current valid driver's license.
