Job Title: Deactivation and Demolition Support Specialist

  • Assist and support management in developing and implementing processes and programs for deactivation and building demolition.
  • Perform project level client interface, trend analysis, tracking, and reporting project performance metrics.
  • Plan, schedule, and organize work to ensure employee and subcontractor utilization, compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and budgetary guidelines.
  • Provide instruction to employees on work methods and performance expectations.
  • Interface with various groups, senior management, client representatives, and auditors.
  • Responsible for providing direction, training resources, and evaluation of Deactivation and Demolition personnel.
  • Manage budget responsibilities with a thorough understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
  • Prepare and implement approved Deactivation and Demolition programs.
  • Make independent decisions to address and resolve problems and to plan and coordinate work.
  • Act as a subject matter expert with knowledge and expertise in deactivation/demolition of Gaseous Diffusion Plant Process Buildings and related technical and regulatory activities.
Minimum Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent or 20+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in DOE Critical Decision (CD) Process/Capital Asset Project implementation required.
  • DOE "L" clearance or ability to obtain a DOE "L" clearance.
