A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CASHIER
As a Cashier, your day revolves around delivering exceptional customer service and operational assistance. You begin by warmly greeting and aiding customers and colleagues, utilizing our point-of-sale system to conduct transactions seamlessly. You will also assist with bagging and helping customers load their purchases. Staying informed about the latest product promotions, discounts, and deals equips you to effectively assist customers with inquiries or recommendations. If customers require more detailed help, you will direct them to our Retail Sales Associates. Whether interacting with customers in person or over the phone, you are prepared to address their queries, offer price estimates, and check product availability. Cashiers are responsible for maintaining a tidy and organized sales floor, ensuring that product displays and work areas are orderly, and actively participating in store events while emphasizing safety protocols and efficiently completing assigned duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior experience in retail or customer service
- Basic computer proficiency and the capacity to grasp new software
- Strong interpersonal skills for face-to-face, phone, and email communication
- Availability to work a rotating Saturday shift
- Frequent lifting of up to 30 lbs. and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Standing and walking throughout your shift
- Regular bending, sitting, squatting, overhead lifting, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and reaching
