As a Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you'll play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating process hazards and risks in semiconductor manufacturing. You will be an integral part of the DRAM Process Development and Operations team, contributing to the establishment of a robust Process Safety program to foster a 'safety-first' culture and create a top-tier safety environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support implementation of Micron's risk-based process safety management system
  • Collaborate with site EHS, Facility, and Fab Engineers to implement process safety solutions
  • Identify and characterize process hazards in chemicals, tools, and facilities
  • Review and conduct hazard studies on tools and systems
  • Drive resolution of potential process safety issues
  • Partner effectively with various teams and suppliers
  • Evaluate process chemistries and material characteristics
  • Develop and implement solutions for mitigating identified hazards and risks
  • Cultivate a safety-first environment during maintenance activities
  • Lead incident investigations related to Process Safety

Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills for technical information
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated with minimal direction
  • Chemical reactivity evaluation skills

Education:

Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field required. Graduate degree preferred.
