Intermountain Blending & Filling (a sister company of Scentsy) is seeking a skilled Formulation Chemist to develop and enhance personal care and home care formulas for IBF customers. The Formulation Chemist is the expert in formulated products and their raw materials.

In this role, you will be responsible for formulating liquids, emulsions, and powder formulas across various categories such as personal care, skin care, hair care, home care, cleaning, pet, spa, and laundry, ensuring they meet customer and regional requirements. You may also supervise junior R&D staff.



Responsibilities:
• Formulate and drive the development of innovative products in personal and home care
• Maintain external partnerships for technological advancements
• Provide technical support and manage scale-up processes
• Assist in QA/QC activities and create raw material specifications
• Source chemical samples and evaluate costing and lead times
• Ensure formulations meet customer requirements and restrictions
• Coordinate stability tests and oversee production testing
• Maintain lab equipment and supplies
• Supervise R&D personnel and provide necessary support
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and perform other assigned tasks

Requirements:
• B.S. degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• 3+ years of formulation and production experience
• 2+ years of experience in personal care product development
• Strong knowledge of formulations and product safety
• Ability to liaise with various teams and stakeholders effectively
• Proficiency in analytical instrumentation and computer applications
