Responsibilities:
  • Review menus and production sheets to plan meals
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on cooking schedules
  • Prepare and cook food items based on recipes and production sheets
  • Ensure food quality through tasting and temperature checks
  • Handle food storage and distribution
  • Assist in retail food preparation
  • Setup and breakdown of the service line
  • Prepare Room Service meals timely
  • Maintain cleanliness in the cooking area
  • Cross-train in various cooking positions
  • Sanitize utensils and equipment
  • Generate reports on food usage and leftovers

Requirements:
  • Capability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain mobile
  • Prior experience in hospital, institution, or restaurant cooking is beneficial
  • Accuracy, good judgment, and basic arithmetic skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and supervisors
  • Punctuality and attendance are essential
  • Understanding of safety procedures and OSHA regulations
  • Completion of a probationary period
