About the Job:


As a medical technologist/clinical lab scientist, you will play a pivotal role in the healthcare system by conducting tests and analyzing body substances to assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating patients.

Your responsibilities will include operating and maintaining testing equipment, ensuring timely completion of tests, and accurately reporting results.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and test specimens following protocols
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot complex equipment
  • Utilize information systems and interpret data
  • Perform quality control and maintain a compliant environment
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities
  • Manage inventory and stay updated with educational opportunities
  • Be flexible in taking on additional responsibilities as needed

Physical Demands:

May require light lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Must be able to operate testing automation.


Education:

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or equivalent, with certification as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist.


Licensure:
Must meet NYS Department of Health requirements and hold a current Clinical Lab Scientist license.

Experience:
Prior laboratory experience preferred.

Additional Qualifications:
Good written and oral communication skills, ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing workloads. Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills are valued.
