Unit Information:
CVICU Location: Medical City Heart & Spine North Central Expwy, Dallas, TX 75243 Floor: 2South and 1South11 Building: General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds -15+4 Number of Staff 45, utilize Health Trust Work Force, HCAs owned float pool Type of staff: o Day Shift 1 Chg and at least 10 RNs, no techs, no secretary o Night Shift 1 Chg and at least 9-10 RNs, no techs, PBX operator 6 out of 7 shifts on unit to help with phones and door management Patient Ratios 1:1 or 1:2 Type of equipment Ventilators, Swan Ganz catheters, Flo tracs, Impellas, IABP, CRRT NxStage, ECMO, LVADs EMR
  • Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Ability to manage vasopressor, inotropes, interpret Swan Ganz readings Ventilator management Preferred or nice to have:
candidates with these skills will be considered first. Device experience such as impella, IABP, CRRT
  • NxStage Post open heart recovery or SICU experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Intubation, swan insertion, chest tube insertion, trach at bedside, gtube at bedside, Travel with patient to CT scan and MRI Best personality Fit: Easy communicator not stand offish, patient centered, outgoing, adaptable and flexible, Honest no harm in not knowing just tell us.

ACLS, BLS Floating Area(s): PCU here and Medical City Dallas IC
