Description: The Assistant Director of Nursing, reporting to the Director of Nursing, plays a vital role in overseeing the delivery of quality clinical care and services within the nursing department. This role demands a blend of clinical expertise and managerial capabilities.



Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, care standards, and performance expectations.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels and preparedness to meet operational demands.
  • Coordinate care plans across various disciplines, collaborating with services like rehabilitation, social services, and pharmacy.
  • Engage in professional development activities to enhance personal and institutional growth.
  • Collaborate with Assisted Living and other departments to develop resident care programs.
  • Work with the Medical Director to maintain compliance with resident medical services.
  • Handle orientation, task assignments, staffing, and training of direct reports.
  • Implement policies for member and employee safety.
  • Contribute to quality assurance programs for operational enhancement.
  • Ensure comprehensive care plans for clinical patients are maintained.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Nursing (Required), Bachelors Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
  • Experience: Recent relevant experience (Required), Supervisory experience (Preferred)
  • Licenses and Certifications: Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (Required)
