We are hiring a Respiratory Therapist Airway Management at Bridgeport Hospital

As a Respiratory Therapist Airway Management, you'll play a crucial role in managing airways during ECT treatments and providing support to the medical care team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Functions efficiently in airway management, assessing patient's airway status and documenting services administered.
  • Communicating effectively within the department and with colleagues, maintaining professionalism and leadership.
  • Ensuring patient reports convey accurate and current information, facilitating safe transitions in handoffs.

To be eligible for this position, you should have:

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care program with a current license in Connecticut. NBRC Registration is required.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of critical care experience, including competency in Charge assignments and Pediatric critical care.

LICENSURE: CT RCP License, NBRC RRT Required. ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications.

SPECIAL SKILLS: Proficiency in respiratory care equipment, strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and excellent interpersonal skills.


We offer:

HOURS: Full-time position with 12-hour shifts from 7pm-7am, including weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
