This position is located in our Baltimore or Chicago office and offers a hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of being in the office once a week.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 2 years accounting experience

+ Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel

+ Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles

+ Polished written and oral communication skills

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy

+ Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Requirements:

+ CPA license or CPA candidate

+ Public accounting and/or law firm experience

What will your day look like?

As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries on a daily basis. You will reconcile general ledger account balances on a monthly basis to ensure completeness and accuracy. You will also review and analyze financial statements on a monthly basis and provide commentary to senior leaders of the Accounting team.

Additionally, you will assist with the year-end financial statement audit and other audits, as required. Youll assist with accounting operations for international entities in Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Korea, and Brazil. You will also assist with daily treasury activities. You will work collaboratively with a talented group of Accounting professionals, including senior leaders of the Accounting department. You will also have exposure to professionals outside of the Accounting department, including Real Estate Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology and various others.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Other Requirements

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
