JOB SUMMARY:

Oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities of the warehouse facility, ensuring that quality standards are met or exceeded.

The warehouse manager must lead a team successfully to achieve accurate inventory counts, coordinate order fulfillment, and track shipping times for thousands of product orders every year.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Ensure shipping of correct products & lot numbers to the correct customer in correct quantities.

Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals.

Develop warehouse operational systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods.
Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.

Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.

Follow all GMP, HACCP and Safety regulations and guidelines.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NORMALLY REQUIRED FOR COMPETENT PERFORMANCE IN THE JOB):

Associate's degree ( or equivalent) in logistics or supply management OR 5+ years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees.

Proficient with warehouse procedures and policies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal.
License to operate a forklift.
Familiarity with computerized Warehouse Management Systems including use of scan guns (Fishbowl Software/WMS a plus).
Fluent in all Microsoft Office products.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis.

Office and manufacturing environment.

The manufacturing environment will include wet conditions (non-weather related), cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.

Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

Occasional work from an elevated platform.

All associates must commit to continually strive to do their part to ensure that only safe, quality food that meets all applicable regulatory and industry standards and requirements will be shipped out of the facility.
